Dr. Abiola Akiyode-Afolabi is the founding Director of Women Advocates Research and Documentation Center (WARDC), she is the Chairperson, Transition Monitoring Group, a Lecturer in the University of Lagos, and A graduate of Law from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife. She has her Master’s Degree, from the University of Notre Dame Law School, Indiana, USA and her Doctoral Degree from SOAS, University of London. She has produced several research materials and has worked as a consultant locally and internationally. Abiola has participated in election observation. A delegate of the 2014 National Conference, an Executive Board Member of WANEP and the Nigerian Women’s Trust Fund.
