Segun Matthew trained as a Cognitive Behaviour Therapist from the Centre of Excellence London, as Integrative Psychotherapist at Birmingham City University and as a Mental Health Nurse from Coventry University. He studied Interprofessional Learning Pathway and Trainer Preceptorship from the University of Birmingham all in England.
He Practiced as a Mental Health Nurse in diverse mental health settings for about 9 years under the National Health Service in the UK and has been practicing as a Psychotherapist for over a decade.
His core pathway is Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT). He has practiced as a therapist in the United Kingdom and currently practices in Nigeria.
Segun Matthew is a Director at Attitude Development International(ADI), a counseling Institute based in Lagos, Nigeria, and is also one of the founding members of the African Network of Professional Counsellors (ANEPCO). And he is also a Silver Member of International Alliance of Holistic Therapists.
He currently practices as a Psychotherapist and lectures at ADI. He specializes in Mental Health Promotion, Addiction Recovery, and Behavioral Therapy.
Segun runs an online platform called Perception Modifier, he believes that if people’s perceptions are modified their behaviour will change and the way they see and manage their relationships and circumstances will improve, this has the potential to influence those dynamics to their benefit.
