Omolara Adelusi holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology from the University of Benin.

In the early days of her career, she worked with Tritech Nigeria Limited and Saaptech Limited between 1998 and 2004, both Information Technology firms.

She disengaged from paid employment in 2004 to start Nektar Creations, a company which specialized in event costuming and garment production and was in operation for 8 years.

Lara co-founded Sheba Centre with her husband, Olufemi Adelusi in February 2011, an event venue situated in the heart of Ikeja.

She is a Certified Event planner from the prestigious- The Wedding Planner School, UK (July –August 2014). She is also an alumnus of the Venue Management School, Oglebay, West Virginia, USA and a registered member of International Association of Venue Managers (IAVM).

Lara is the Acting President Association of Venue Owners Lagos Nigeria (AVOLN).

She is the Executive Director of Nehemiah Hope Initiative, an NGO she founded in 2016 which delivers relief materials, rehabilitation services, developmental projects and Youth empowerment to conflict ridden communities in northern Nigeria. Nehemiah Hope Initiative has worked with over 2000 internally displaced people (IDPs) since inception.

She recently established JFK Events company, which is an event rental and management company in December 2018.

She was nominated as one of the 30 African Entrepreneurs in 2018 to participate in the Adansonia Entrepreneurship Project of SDA Bocconic School of Management, Milan Italy.

She is a Cherie Blair Foundation Scholar, a Women X Program scholar (World Bank Program) both coordinated by Enterprise for Development Centre (EDC at Lagos Business School.

She is an Associate member, National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria.

She is the recipient of the 2018 Outstanding Female Entrepreneur of the year awarded by Grofin Nigeria. She is married and the mother to three great champions.
